Meet The Hubby

It felt fitting to ring in the new year by introducing you to a human who plays a starring role in my life and is so often mentioned in this space: my husband, Adam.

Adam and I are still learning how to best support, enable and accommodate each other’s endeavors, and also, how to creatively collaborate. Thanks Covid. We owe it all to you.

We’ve been partners on many fronts since the ’90s—first as romantic interests, then as parents, homeowners, plus-ones, editors, traveling companions, secret-keepers, and turbulance-calmers. Both of us in a business that has unrelenting ups and downs, we made a promise years ago: only one of us can go crazy at a time. That way, we take turns holding down the fort, ordering in, making sure there’s milk in the fridge.

I hope you enjoy this brief conversation about co-existencing in a post–middle-age time of our lives.
